About MeHello, my name is Tyler Price. I grew up on a small, family farm in a town in far Northwest Oklahoma known as Laverne. My father is a full-time oil field contractor and my mother has been a livestock veterinarian for 30+ years. Growing up I was very involved in the FFA where I received my State and American FFA Degrees. Through the FFA I was active in public speaking and showing cattle and goats.
Upon graduation from high school, I attended the university I had always dreamed of. A university that runs deep in the blood of my family lineage. I attended Oklahoma State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications. During my time a OSU, I conducted my student teaching experience at the Agriscience Magnet Program. Upon graduation I taught my first year of teaching at Sinton High School in Sinton, Texas. After only a short one year, I was blessed to have the opportunity to return to the AMP. Sticking with the orange that runs through my veins, I am currently working to complete my Master's of Science in Agricultural Education and Communications through the University of Florida while teaching at James Madison. I am excited to be back and kick start the agribusiness and ag communications track at the AMP. Have a great day and Go Pokes! |
